BIOS
ANA SOFIA RIBEIRO
She is assistant researcher at CIDEHUS, in Évora University (Portugal). She is an early modern historian, also working in the field of digital humanities. She holds a PhD in History (2011) and a Master in Local and Regional Studies (2008) at the University of Porto. Her main research areas are early modern Iberian business networks, gender and violence in the Portuguese world, and digital humanities. In this field she works with historical GIS (Geographic Information Systems), social network analysis and NLP (Natural Language Processing) where she works in information extraction mechanisms from historical sources.
ANA CARVALHO
Museologist and researcher at CIDEHUS, University of Évora (Portugal), where she works on museums and cultural heritage. She trained in museology and holds a PhD in the field. Her work focuses on how museums and heritage relate to society and public policies. She is co-founder and editor-in-chief of MIDAS – Museums and Interdisciplinary Studies (“Museus e Estudos Interdisciplinares”) and hosts the award-winning blog “No Mundo dos Museus”, dedicated to making museum topics accessible to wider audiences. Her work has received several awards from the Portuguese Association of Museology. She is also a researcher at the UNESCO Chair in Intangible Heritage and coordinates the research group “Heritage(s) and Literacies” at CIDEHUS.

Através de conversas com especialistas, este podcast fala da importância do património nos dias de hoje, especialmente para comunidades diversas na Região do Curdistão do Iraque e no Iémen.
Os temas abordados incluem as principais ameaças ao património cultural, as abordagens à preservação e a participação das comunidades, bem como os desafios relacionados com a diversidade cultural, a inclusão e a inovação no ensino e formação do património.
